Happy is as happy does.

Surprising my hubby with a beautiful birthday cake made by a friend> http://alenassweets.blogspot.com < made me happy. Gifting my hubby with a huge laminated world map made me happier. Watching my eldest son listen intently to our stories as we plotted map pins across the map of places we've been, and dream destinations to come, made me happiest.
Oh, and in case you are keeping track.....Moscow, Greece, Jerusalem, and Ghana....you figure out who wants to go where. ;)

So, I jumped!

How do you start photographing weddings? By photographing one! I finally was honored with the opportunity to jump off the cliff and shoot a wedding...and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. I know I have so much still to learn, and so much room to grow, but I think that I really captured some beautiful moments with beautiful images. I think what made my experience the best was the crowd I kept...the bride and groom were so amazing...and the family was so wonderful. Here are a few of my favorite shots from my first wedding!!

To get the shot...

I have gone to the absolute TOP...I have scaled cavernous trails...I have teetered on high walls...I have gotten down in the mud...I have ever so carefully waded to the middle of the pool...and I obviously have gotten waaay too close to the shore break. Photography is so fun.
